Ignacy (Igi) Klammer

Designer · Illustrator · Artist

Growing up surrounded by people drawn to art and crafts, I learned early on to follow curiosity, experiment with materials, and let making become a way
of expressing personality and ideas. Today, my work continues this playful exploration, moving between illustration, objects, and space.

Drawing is central to my process. With a comic-inspired approach, I use sketches not only to reinterpret everyday life but also to open new directions
for material and form. This playful way of thinking leads to objects that invite interaction, spark curiosity, and engage people with their surroundings
in unexpected ways.

At the core of my practice is a balance between abstract playfulness, storytelling, and a thoughtful approach to sustainability. I often reclaim or reuse materials, letting them become a starting point for design, adding another layer of meaning. Modularity, reparability, and customisation are recurring themes, as I’m drawn to systems that remain flexible and adaptable over time.

The areas of design that interest me most are objects and furniture that directly interact with space and people. Through them, I aim not just to create functional solutions, but experiences that bring humor, wonder, and reflection into daily life.

For me, design is a way of seeing and shaping the world. A chance to highlight important topics, shift perspectives, and celebrate the playful side of our relationship with objects and environments.
